Frequently Asked Questions
How much are your lessons?
Our private lesson rates are:
30-minute lesson โ $60
45-minute lesson โ $90
1-hour lesson โ $120
Is there a registration fee?
Yes, we have a one-time registration fee of $35. This fee contributes to administrative expenses, allowing us to provide you with the best learning experience possible.
How do the lessons work?
Lessons take place once a week at your scheduled time. Signing up is easy โ just pick a day and time that fits your schedule, and weโll pair you with a teacher who suits your goals and style. Lessons are personalized to meet each studentโs needs, whether you're a complete beginner or more advanced.
Are these individual lessons?
Yes, our lessons are one-on-one.
What ages do you accept?
We welcome students starting at age 5 and up! We can also work with 4-year-olds, but they must begin with a trial lesson so the teacher can determine if they are ready for regular lessons. Whether youโre a young beginner or an adult rediscovering music, we tailor lessons to each studentโs level and goals.
Do you have the same rates for all instruments?
Yes, our rates are the same for all instruments.
Do you offer online classes?
While we highly recommend in-person classes, we can certainly accommodate students who prefer online classes through ZOOM.
Do I have to know how to read music?
No, it's not a requirement.
I donโt have an instrument โ can I still take lessons?
While we do have a few instruments on-site (like acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitars, etc.), we highly recommend that students have their own instrument at home. Home practice is essential to making progress. Itโs also important that some instruments, like guitars or violins, are properly sized to fit the player โ especially for younger students.
What happens if we miss a lesson?
We offer several flexible options to make up missed lessons:
Group Make-Up Lessons
Held regularly
Unlimited and never expire
Great opportunity to learn from a variety of teachers and peers
Helps build performance skills and musical confidence
Structured like a master class: each student works at their own level
TiMING:
1 student = 30 minutes
2+ students = 1 hour
Our instructors receive details about the students attending and tailor the lesson accordingly.
Video Make-Up Lessons
Your teacher can definitely provide a video make-up lesson if youโre unable to attend in person or join a group class.
Sublet Your Lesson
If you know youโll be out for a few weeks, youโre welcome to sublet your time to a friend or family member.
When are payments due?
Tuition is automatically charged on the 1st of each month and covers the full month ahead. All payments are processed securely through our online billing system.
Can I switch teachers?
Yes! We want every student to feel excited and inspired by their teacher. If you'd like to explore other instructors, we're happy to help you find the right fit based on your goals and preferences.
Can we pause lessons?
We are unable to pause lessons or hold time slots.
If you're expecting to miss a few lessons, consider the following options instead:
Join a group make-up class
Request a video make-up lesson
Sublet your lesson to a friend or family member
These options help you stay on track without losing momentum in your musical journey.
How do we withdraw from lessons?
If you need to stop lessons, please complete our Withdrawal Form (available on our website) on or before the 15th of the month youโd like to be your final month. Since tuition is billed monthly, this allows us to process your withdrawal for the following month.
