Happy new year! We are starting 2022 off being grateful for our amazing CCAA community of exceptional instructors, amazing and dedicated students, parents, families, and staff.

Be on the lookout for our personalized Practice Log Journals for our students! We hope this book will help provide guidance, clarity, and structure for your lessons and at home practice sessions. Once you have received your new practice journal, please make sure to bring it to every lesson, along with your other books and materials. Weโ€™re very excited for this new development!

Weโ€™re excited to welcome Austin Robinson and Dara Rahming to our teaching faculty! They will be offering piano and piano/voice lessons, respectively. Please reach out to info@chevychaseartsacademy.com to inquire about lesson availability with Austin and Dara!

  • What do you like most about playing music?
    It is fun!

  • What is your favorite song?
    My favorite song right now is โ€œAxel F.โ€

  • What else do you like to do in your free time?
    I like to play soccer and also play with Legos :)

Name: Callea O.
Age: 9 years old
Instrument: Piano

Callea began piano lessons with us in December 2018 :)

  • What are you currently listening to?
    I like to listen to hip hop, pop, and R & B.

  • Who is your favorite composer/musician/group?
    My favorite musician is Olivia Rodrigo.

  • What else do you like to do in your free time?
    I like to play lacrosse and soccer! :)

Ms. Kao Osawa

Name: Kao Osawa
Instrument: Piano

My name is Kao Osawa. I play/teach piano. When I was about 3 years old, my mother was practicing piano. I put the music book on the piano upside down and pretended to practice :) I started taking lessons when I was 5.

  • What are you currently listening to?
    I like listening to classical music - from Bach to Brahms. Lately, I am very into Chopin and am trying to learn many compositions by him.

  • Who are your favorite composers/musicians?
    My favorite composers are Schumann and Chopin.

  • How often/what inspires you to practice?
    This year, I am trying to practice 60-90 minutes a day. When my students practice and make improvements, I am inspired to practice even more!
